4 months agoAfter being designated for assignment on July 14, the Kansas City Royals announced on Friday that they have released relief pitcher Nick Anderson. The veteran reliever has had success in the past, mainly with the Tampa Bay Rays and threw to a 4.04 ERA with 29 strikeouts in 35 2/3 innings for the Royals this season. Although he went unclaimed on waivers, many teams are always looking for relievers and he should be able land on his feet in another organization. Regardless of where he may wind up, Anderson can safely remain on the waiver wire.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
