Rowan Wicks Snags Third Save
3 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Rowan Wick recorded his third save of the season in Sunday's victory versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Wick tossed two frames and allowed no hits, no runs, two walks and struck out two on the afternoon. Wick has now been called upon for three of the last four save opportunities for the Cubs and it's safe to say that he will likely being their closer for the time being. The veteran missed most of the season due to injuries and owns a 3.09 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 11 2/3 innings. Managers seeking saves should consider him moving forward.
