Rowan Wick Secures Eighth Save On Wednesday
2 years agoChicago Cubs pitcher Rowan Wick tossed a perfect inning to earn the save during Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Washington Nationals. He entered the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead. The 29-year-old needed 14 pitches to earn his eighth save of the season. He has now recorded three saves since the Cubs traded David Robertson at the MLB trade deadline. The right-hander is the Cubs' primary closer and should be rostered in all league formats. Wick owns a 4.14 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, and 50 strikeouts over 50 innings in 2022.
