Rowan Wick Notches Second Save On Wednesday
3 years agoChicago Cubs pitcher Rowan Wick struck out two over two scoreless innings to earn the save during Wednesday's 7-5 win over the San Diego Padres. He entered the game in the eighth inning to protect a two-run lead. The 29-year-old retired all six batters he faced to earn his second save of the season. He owns a 0.77 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and a 14:5 K: BB across 11 2/3 innings in 2022. Wick should continue to see save opportunities while the team's primary closer David Robertson (undisclosed), is on the injured list. Fantasy managers searching for saves should add Wick in the short term with Robertson sidelined.
