Rowan Wick Converts Second Save
3 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Rowan Wick recorded his second save of the season in Friday's victory versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. Wick blew his first save of the season on Thursday, but bounced back with three strikeouts in a quick 1-2-3 inning to secure a Cubs victory. Wick has now been called upon for the last three save opportunities for the Cubs and he has converted two of those chances. Wick now has a 3.72 ERA in 9 2/3 innings. Managers seeking saves can give Wick a look, but don't expect many opportunities with the Cubs struggling to rack up victories in the second half of the season.
