1 year agoThe San Francisco Giants placed right-hander Ross Stripling (back) on the 15-day injured list with a mild-back strain on Saturday. Sean Hjelle was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding move. Stripling experienced back soreness on Friday, and the injury was severe enough to warrant a trip to the injured list. The 33-year-old has struggled this season, posting a 5.29 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 61: 11 K: BB across 78 1/3 innings. Stripling will miss at least the next two weeks, and fantasy managers who held onto him in deep leagues can move on from the veteran.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
