Ross Stripling Exits Start Early With Abdominal Injury
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Ross Stripling (abdomen) exited his start on Tuesday with left abdominal discomfort, according to Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun. Stripling allowed one hit and one walk over two innings of work, before he was replaced by Trevor Richards in the bottom of the third inning. He's looked sharp over his last three outings, going 2-0 with a 1.65 ERA, 0.857 WHIP and 21 percent strikeout rate across 16 1/3 innings of work. Managers should consider him day-to-day for the moment, and keep an eye out for further updates on his condition after the game.
