Ross Stripling Allows One Run Versus Mets
3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Ross Stripling allowed one run over five frames on Sunday, settling for a no-decision in the club's 5-4 loss to the Mets. It was a nice bounce-back outing for the right-hander who failed to make it through one inning in his last start, and if this game wasn't under NL rules he might have lasted a bit longer after throwing just 79 pitches. Stripling finished the game with five hits allowed, six punchouts, and no free passes as he currently sits with an 84/25 K/BB through 80 IP. He'll carry a 4.84 and 1.29 WHIP into his next scheduled start versus the Royals in what will be the Jays first home game back in Toronto since 2019.
