2 years agoRoss Chastain has been a name that is mentioned nearly every weekend for both good and bad reasons. Mostly, his name is mentioned when he is driving into other cars on the track. After a meeting with Trackhouse leadership, it seems that he has taken a more conservative approach. That could change at the Toyota/Save Mart 350 from Sonoma Raceway as he gets back to road course racing, tracks that he has found success at recently. At COTA this season, he ran a solid race and finished fourth, a track that he won in 2022. Here at Sonoma last year, he finished the race in seventh. He showed speed over the longer runs in practice and is a strong play from the 15th starting position in all formats. --Eric DeWilde
