Ross Chastain Found Way Up Field, Finished Second At Nashville
3 years agoRoss Chastain drove a great race tactic-wise and even passed William Byron to boot. In the end, he was caught in no man's land but finished second place to Kyle Larson. Chastain did trim Larson's lead to just over four seconds but could get no closer. The No. 42 Chevy even pulled away from Byron during the final laps. Give the Chevy driver a ton of credit here because Chastain seemed to have the car late to even challenge Larson except when it came to grip around the turns. At the least, it was a season-high result to be proud of.
