Roschon Johnson Yet To Clear Concussion Protocol
1 year agoChicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson (concussion) entered the concussion protocol following the Week 5 win over the Washington Commanders on October 5. 20 days later, he is still in the protocol. He is eligible to practice now, but it is still a concerning development. The rookie will have a chance to clear protocol before the Week 8 Sunday Night Football matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers. However, the organization might decide to play it safe given the nature of the injury. D'Onta Foreman should be viewed as the team's primary back in Week 8 against a defense that has allowed the 13th-most fantasy points per game to running backs this season. With Justin Fields (thumb) unlikely to play, Chicago will likely lean on Foreman. Johnson might see some work if he's activated, but he's clearly a risky fantasy option.
