Roschon Johnson In Split Backfield Week 9
1 year agoChicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson returned from his concussion in Week 8, managing nice touches for a total of 31 yards. The Bears faced an early deficit in their 30-13 loss to the Chargers, which limited Johnson's opportunities in his return. This week, he is expected to receive more touches while sharing the backfield with D'Onta Foreman, as Khalil Herbert (ankle) remains on Injured Reserve. However, the Saints present a tough matchup, as they allow the fourth-fewest points to running backs per game this season. The overall offensive potential of the Bears is diminished with rookie quarterback Tyson Bagent starting in place of the injured Justin Fields (thumb), making Johnson a riskier option in a challenging matchup with an uncertain role.
