Roschon Johnson Could Earn Starting Role Early
2 years agoChicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson was selected in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. His draft capital means he's not guaranteed to have a significant role in his rookie season, but he'll only have former sixth-round pick Khalil Herbert and 27-year-old journeyman running back D'Onta Foreman to compete with. Bears writer for Windy City Gridiron Jacob Infante said "There's a legit chance he takes he takes over the starting RB role in Year 1," but it'll benefit the former Texas Longhorn if he carves out a role on special teams first. Ultimately, Johnson will be an intriguing target in 2023 fantasy drafts in one of the league's most run-heavy attacks, even if he's a committee back. Foreman and Herbert have plenty of injury troubles in their careers.
