Rookie Michael Wilson Best Left On The Bench In Week 1
1 year agoArizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Michael Wilson is looking to make his mark in the team's Week 1 matchup against the Washington Commanders. Wilson was drafted in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft and hopes to become a playmaker for a Cardinals team that desperately needs them this season. Mainly used as a short-range target in college, Wilson does have decent size and speed and could eventually become the No. 2 receiver in Arizona's offense. However, most wide receivers take some time to get acclimated to the speed of the NFL, and Wilson is no exception. Even the greats such as Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase took time to blossom. While Wilson currently is far from their level, he does have potential. With that in mind and a potentially challenging matchup, he's best left on the fantasy bench even if Arizona's top wideout Marquise Brown (hamstring) is ruled out.
