Ronald Torreyes Stays Hot Versus Marlins
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop Ronald Torreyes went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in a loss to the Marlins on Monday. Torreyes has reached base 10 times in his last 19 plate appearances since being recalled to the majors on May 18 to replace Didi Gregorius (elbow). Despite the hot streak, there's not much here for fantasy purposes. Torreyes has a microscopic .048 ISO this season and hasn't homered since 2017, when he was with the Yankees. Torreyes is an elite defender who can play multiple positions, making him a valuable piece for the Phillies. Fantasy managers, however, can leave him on waivers in most leagues despite this hot streak.
