Ronald Jones II Plays Second Fiddle In Blowout Win
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II tallied six rushes for 27 yards and caught one of three targets for nine receiving yards in a Week 2 win over the Falcons. After being tabbed as the team's starter by head coach Bruce Arians, Jones was the first back on the field but again took a backseat to Leonard Fournette in terms of workload. The 2018 second-round pick looked good running the ball and encouragingly saw three targets, one more than pass-catcher Giovani Bernard. Still, Jones' production through two weeks leaves much to be desired, as Fournette is the clear leader of the backfield heading into Week 3. Jones will have his work cut out for him against a tough Rams defense next week.
