Ronald Jones II Named The Starter For Week 2
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II was named the team's starter heading into their Week 2 matchup against the Falcons. Jones was seemingly benched after fumbling in the second quarter of his team's Week 1 victory over the Cowboys, as he played just nine percent of the snaps and handled four touches behind Leonard Fournette, who was the clear lead back. Head coach Bruce Arians said that Jones "bounced back" after his fumble and will be "ready to roll" against the Falcons. Since Fournette was technically the starter last week and led the backfield in touches, it's reasonable to expect a similar workload for Jones, which would put him in the low-end RB2/flex conversation against a Falcons defense that just allowed 173 total rushing yards to the Eagles in Week 1.
