It's a tough development for Jones after he was handed a two-game suspension for violating the NFL's PED policy. The Cowboys listed the two-time Super Bowl Champion behind

Malik Davis on its initial depth chart, so his chances to make the 53-man roster could be dwindling. Jones was a healthy scratch for the Kansas City Chiefs last season on many occasions and his career outlook is looking bleak.

Ronald Jones has been suspended by the NFL on Monday for the first two games of the 2023 regular season for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances. Jones will be eligible to play in the preseason and continue practicing in training camp, but he'll miss the first two games of the season.
Tony Pollard (ankle) is expected to be good to go for the start of the regular season as Dallas' lead back, but
Malik Davis should now see an elevated role behind him in the first two weeks of the season with Jones now suspended. Rookie
Deuce Vaughn and
Rico Dowdle could also see more work early in the year with Jones sidelined. When healthy, the 25-year-old Jones should have more opportunity than he did in Kansas City last year, but that doesn't mean he'll be fantasy relevant.
