Ronald Jones II Gaining Traction Heading Into Week 5
5 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Ronald Jones II has started to separate himself from fellow backfield mate Peyton Barber over the last two weeks. Jones has 33 touches for 203 yards since Week 3, with Barber touching the ball 22 times for just 74 yards over the same period of time. Head coach Bruce Arians was clear when the season started that he would ride the hot hand, and it looks like Jones is that guy at the moment. Jones has a solid matchup in Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints, who are giving up a healthy 4.5 yards per carry to opposing running backs through the first four weeks of the season. Jones profiles as an excellent bye week fill-in or flex option this week, and looks like the best fantasy option in the Bucs backfield going forward as long as he continues to produce.
