Ronald Guzman Starting, Willie Calhoun Sitting
6 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman Ronald Guzman will start at first base on Thursday. Guzman comes in at the expense of Willie Calhoun, with Joey Gallo moving to left field, Shin-Soo Choo playing in right field, Adrian Beltre will serve as the designate hitter and Jurickson Profar will move across the diamond to third base. Guzman's numbers against right-handed pitchers are actually not the impressive compared to his numbers against lefties. The left-handed hitter has a .168 ISO, ,312 wOBA and a just a .400 slugging percentage. With Guzman hitting eighth in the lineup and those numbers against right-handed pitchers, he is a hitter I would look to avoid in DFS Thursday.
