Ronald Guzman Removed With Head Injury
7 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman Ronald Guzman was removed from the game Monday when he took a knee to the head while diving back to third base on an attempted pickoff. He is likely to go into the concussion protocol and could land on the seven-day disabled list. Joey Gallo cam in to pinch run and to play first base. Guzman is hitting just .224/.311/.404 with seven home runs and 29 RBI in 183 at-bats for the Rangers in his rookie season, and he hasn't seen much playing time since Adrian Beltre came off the disabled list. Guzman is only worth owning in AL-only leagues.
