Ronald Acuna Jr. Swipes His 20th Bag Of The Year
2 years agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. went 1-for-5 with a single, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 8-4 win over the Washington Nationals. He has now stolen a base in three consecutive games and he has 20 steals on the year. Apart from his elite base-running, Acuna has been a bit underwhelming for fantasy purposes this season. Across 58 games, he's slashed .270/.366/.420 with eight home runs, 22 RBI and 38 runs. While his underlying stats are mostly down from previous years, they still suggest that he's been a bit unlucky so far. He has a .289 xBA and a .557 xSLG and his 116.6 mph max exit velocity ranks in the 98th percentile. Expect to see some better power numbers from Acuna during the second half of the season.
