Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi took his point streak to four games with an assist in Friday's 2-1 loss to Florida. He combined with Ryan Ellis to set up Colton Sissons early in the game. Ellis is also riding a four-game point streak. Josi produced a team-high six shots in the loss and had one hit in 27:02 on the ice. The Predators captain had an unproductive start to the season, but he now has five points in six games. Josi has been among the league's top-scoring defenseman over the last couple of years and should be near the top of the table again in 2020-21.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi (upper body) will not suit up on Thursday evening against the Winnipeg Jets. Head coach Andrew Brunette noted that the star defenseman is viewed as "day-to-day." Josi suffered this injury during Tuesday's contest against the Florida Panthers. He was evaluated following the game and appears to have potentially avoided a significant injury. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status as he could return to the lineup either Saturday or Sunday if he continues to be viewed as "day-to-day." Before the injury, the 34-year-old tallied three points (three helpers) over his last five contests, adding nine shots on goal with 13 blocks. While Josi remains sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Brady Skjei to move up to the top pairing and power-play unit.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi (upper body) has been labeled day-to-day after he was injured in Tuesday's contest against the Florida Panthers. It appears that Josi avoided a serious injury, but he may still have to sit out Thursday's clash against the Winnipeg Jets. With the team struggling, Josi has not performed at his best this season, settling for 38 points (nine goals, 29 assists) in 53 games while amassing a minus-28 rating. The Predators defense is already missing Jeremy Lauzon (lower body) and Adam Wilsby (upper body), both of whom have been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Jake Livingstone is expected to make his NHL debut on Thursday if Josi is unable to play.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi (upper body) sustained an upper-body injury during Tuesday's contest against the Florida Panthers. Josi took a hard hit in the second period and did not return following the second intermission. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next contest on Thursday evening against the Winnipeg Jets. Given that he missed the entire third period, he may face an uphill battle to be cleared in time for that contest. Before this game, the 34-year-old tallied two helpers with 13 blocked shots over his previous four contests. Through 53 total games, Josi has scored only nine goals and added 29 helpers. If he were to miss time, fantasy managers should expect Brady Skjei to move up to the top pairing.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi (lower body) returned to the lineup on Saturday against Los Angeles. After missing four games with a lower-body injury, Josi made an instant impact, posting an assist in a 3-2 overtime win. He led all Predators skaters with 26:25 of ice time and added a pair of blocks and two shots to his tally. Josi has been a regular on the score sheet all season, notching 24 points (seven goals, 17 assists) in 30 games, but the team's difficult campaign has resulted in him carrying a minus-21 rating. However, the Predators have improved lately, going 3-1-1 in five games, and they might be able to turn things around in 2025.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
