4 months agoComing off back-to-back excellent games, the Houston Texans defense/special teams has a chance for another big performance with a home date against the bottom-tier offense of the Tennessee Titans in Week 12. Houston hasn't allowed more than 24 points since Week 3, and in their past two games, they have forced seven turnovers and scored a touchdown. Now comes a Titans offense that ranks at or near the bottom of the NFL in passing first downs (31st), interceptions (tied for 32nd), net yards per attempt (27th), offensive penalties (31st), and scoring percentage (30th). Any fantasy managers holding the Texans should be starting them against Tennessee.--Nick Piotrowicz - RotoBaller

28 mins agoFree-agent running back Travis Homer re-signed with the Chicago Bears on Monday on a one-year, $2 million deal, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Homer will be back for a third year in the Windy City and is currently the No. 3 behind D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson. The 26-year-old former sixth-round selection (204th overall) by the Seattle Seahawks in 2019 out of the University of Miami (FL) saw a grand total of six rushing attempts for 23 yards while catching three of four targets for 11 yards in 26 games (no starts) over the last two years in Chicago, so he hasn't been a very big part of the offense. A hamstring injury kept him sidelined for the final three games in 2024, but he should be good to go for training camp this summer. Homer will once again be nowhere near the fantasy radar for the Bears heading into 2025 drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

6 hours agoDuring a trip to South Korea, where he ran a QB clinic, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray expressed his excitement for the team and their trajectory in 2025. "I'm looking forward to this next season," said Murray. "I think, as an organization, we're on the up and up, and I'm looking forward to it." Murray is coming off his first full season since 2020, tossing 3,851 yards and 21 touchdowns on a 68.8% completion percentage. However, Arizona has made just one playoff appearance during his tenure -- a 2021 loss to their division-rival Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round -- and the 27-year-old understands it's partly on his shoulders. When asked how far Arizona is from a Super Bowl, Murray responded, "Not far at all. I think anything's possible." The Cardinals made just one big-ticket signing thus far in pass-rusher Josh Sweat, but they'll need to surround the Oklahoma product with a few more weapons as they've finished above .500 just once since selecting him first overall in 2019.--Alex Ciulla

7 hours agoFormer Arizona Wildcats wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan participated in his pro day on Monday and was clocked at a 4.48 for his 40-yard dash. FOX Sports' Jordan Schultz reported the news. Schultz also noted that 24 NFL teams were in attendance. McMillan is widely considered the top wideout prospect in this year's draft class. Standing at 6-foot-4 and 219lbs, the 21-year-old was stellar in his last two collegiate seasons, racking up 174 receptions and 2,721 receiving yards with 18 scores. McMillan has size, speed, and a reliable set of hands. He's been mocked to a few intriguing spots, including the Jacksonville Jaguars at fifth overall and the Dallas Cowboys, who currently hold the twelfth overall pick. Across three seasons with Arizona, he averaged 92.5 yards per game.--Alex Ciulla

9 hours agoFree-agent quarterback Jameis Winston is scheduled to visit with the New York Giants on Tuesday, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The Giants are waiting for a decision from future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, but in the meantime, they are taking visits with Winston, Joe Flacco and Russell Wilson as fallback options. Even if the G-Men land Rodgers in free agency, it wouldn't be a surprise to see them take a rookie signal-caller at No. 3 overall in the upcoming NFL draft -- or even trade up to No. 1 overall for a young QB. The 31-year-old Winston, the former first overall pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015 out of Florida State, initially gave the Cleveland Browns' offense a spark in 2024 after the season-ending injury to Deshaun Watson (Achilles). However, he was ultimately benched late in the year and remains a turnover machine.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
