Roenis Elias Blanks Orioles In Ninth For Save
5 years agoSeattle Mariners reliever Roenis Elias pitched a clean ninth inning to cap the team's 5-2 win on Thursday. It was the eighth save of the season for the lefty and third in his last four outings. Elias holds a decent 3.71 ERA and 1.32 WHIP for the M's with 34 strikeouts in 34.0 innings proving to be a reliable late-inning arm. He's not your prototypical power reliever, but the fact that he's accumulating saves makes him an add target in deep mixed leagues. With no threat of a usurping until Hunter Strickland returns from the IL, Elias will remain the front-runner for saves in this bullpen.
