Rodger Saffold Inks Deal To Join Browns Practice Squad
11 months agoVeteran free-agent guard Rodger Saffold has been signed to the Cleveland Browns practice squad. Cleveland has dealt with injuries along its offensive line all season, so the two-time Pro Bowler will provide much-needed depth as the team heads into postseason action next week. Saffold spent nine seasons with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams before a three-year stint with the Tennessee Titans. He most recently played for the Buffalo Bills before spending time on the New York Jets practice squad. It's unclear whether Saffold will see any playing time for the Browns, but he's an experienced veteran who started in a Super Bowl for the Rams (2018) and an AFC title game for the Titans (2019). He has started 173 games since entering the league in 2010.
