28 seconds agoThe Colorado Rockies have sent outfield prospects Benny Montgomery and Sterlin Thompson to minor-league camp. Montgomery was the team's first-round draft pick in 2021 (eighth overall), while Thompson was a first-round competitive balance pick (31st overall) in 2022. They currently rank as Colorado's 15th and 17th-ranked prospects, respectively. Both spent all of 2024 at Double-A, with Montgomery slashing .283/.313/.500 but played in only 11 games due to season-ending left shoulder surgery, while Thompson slashed .245/.319/.385 with 13 home runs and 12 steals in 119 games. Thompson has a 2025 ETA per MLB.com's Top Prospects list, but with Montgomery missing so much time, his ETA is projected at 2026. We'll want to see more from both of them this season before considering them for fantasy, though.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller
