New York Mets second baseman Robinson Cano went 4-for-4 with three home runs in a win over the Padres Tuesday night. Cano hit his first two homers off rookie Chris Paddack and also took lefty Logan Allen in the seventh. Cano drove in all five of the Mets' runs while becoming the oldest second baseman to hit three homers in a game. It's been a disappointing season overall for Cano. His .254 average is the worst of his career as is his .288 on-base percentage and .377 slugging percentage. He's a fine middle-infield option in deeper leagues but does not need to be owned in standard size mixed leagues. He's got a great matchup lined up Wednesday against righty Dinelson Lament, however.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller

Atlanta Braves infielder Robinson Cano (head) was removed from Friday's game against the Los Angeles Angels due to dizziness. His removal came in the third inning before his first at-bat of the game. Orlando Arcia came in as a pinch-hitter for him. Cano has played in six games with the Braves since being traded to the team for cash considerations earlier this month. He's gone 4-for-18 with a double over that six-game stretch. He will continue serving as one of the team's replacements for second baseman Ozzie Albies (foot), who is expected to remain out until at least mid-August.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller

Atlanta Braves infielder Robinson Cano has been recalled to the big league roster on Monday. The 39-year-old was acquired by the Braves in a trade with the San Diego Padres over the weekend. The veteran second baseman is hitting .149/.182/.189 with one homer in 77 plate appearances this season. He offers basically nothing in terms of fantasy production at this stage in his career. However, he'll likely get a decent amount of at-bats in Atlanta, especially against right-handed pitching. Fantasy managers can wait until Cano does something before rostering him.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

The Atlanta Braves are expected to activate their newest acquisition, second baseman Robinson Cano, prior to Monday's game against his former team, the New York Mets. The Braves acquired Cano from the San Diego Padres in exchange for cash considerations on Sunday. The Braves are Cano's third team this season. He played in exactly 12 games for both the Mets and the Padres. The 39-year-old veteran hasn't been able to settle in at the plate yet this year, slashing just .149/.182/.189.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller

The Atlanta Braves have agreed to a deal to acquire second baseman Robinson Cano from the San Diego Padres for cash considerations. They will receive the 39-year-old slugger on a veteran minimum deal. The New York Mets are on the hook for $24 million after releasing Cano earlier in the season. Cano has struggled with the bat this season and isn't worth a look in fantasy leagues. He'll likely get a decent amount of playing time in Atlanta, but it's unlikely he has much to offer at this point in his career.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
