Robinson Cano Has Torn Hamstring
5 years agoJust as he was beginning to pick up his performance at the plate, New York Mets infielder Robinson Cano could be sidelined for the remainder of the season. The 36-year-old landed on the IL Monday and MRI results revealed a torn left hamstring. There is no timetable for his return and he could very well be gone for the rest of the season. This is a crushing blow for the Mets, who stormed into the playoff picture with a seven-game winning streak. The club will surely miss Cano's veteran experience as they prepare for a playoff spot battle.
