Robinson Cano Had Knee Surgery After Season
Robinson Cano (knee) underwent arthroscopic right knee surgery after the 2018 season and had it performed by Mets doctor David Altchek, according to major league sources. The surgery was considered minor and Cano is expected to be a "full go" for spring training. The 36-year-old leads the majors with 2,078 games played since his debut in 2005. However, he played in a career-low 80 games in 2018 due to an 80-game PED suspension. When on the field, though, he was productive, hitting .303/.374/.471 with 10 home runs and 50 RBI. New York is hoping Cano still has some productive years left. While he isn't the All-Star second baseman he once was, he can still provide fantasy owners with decent numbers.
