Robinson Cano Continues To Be Dreadful
6 years agoIn his first season with the New York Mets, infielder Robinson Cano is off to a terrible start and it appears to be getting worse. The 36-year-old veteran drilled a two-run home run on opening day, but has only managed two more home runs and 10 more RBI since then. After hitting .267 in April, Cano has been worse in May, batting just .191 through the first two weeks. Wednesday night against the Nationals, he went hitless in four plate appearances, striking out three times. While manager Mickey Callaway has publicly given him a vote of confidence, Cano's streaky season isn't one to reassure anybody that he'll figure it out soon.
