4 years agoVegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner has come to an agreement on a five-year, $25 million extension to stay with the team, according to reports. Lehner was acquired by the Golden Knights at the trade deadline in February and went on to post a 3-0-0 record, 1.67 goals against average, .940 save percentage and one shutout in three starts prior to the shutdown. During the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the 29-year-old earned the majority of starts and produced a record of 9-5-2, along with a 1.99 goals against average, .917 save percentage and four shutouts in 16 games played as the Golden Knights went on to the Western Conference Finals. With Lehner signing the extension and opting against testing the free agent market, Marc-Andre Fleury's future with the franchise becomes unclear. A potential trade involving Fleury could come to fruition as the veteran netminder has two years left on his current contract. Lehner is in the prime of his career and will be an attractive option as one of the top goaltenders across all fantasy formats heading into the upcoming season with the Golden Knights.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
