Roberto Osuna Picks Up 25th Save
5 years agoHouston Astros closer Roberto Osuna fired a scoreless ninth inning to notch his 25th save in a 3-1 win over the Seattle Mariners on Sunday. Osuna didn't allow a hit and struck out one in the inning, needing just 14 pitches to get the job done. He has been a bit shaky since the All-Star break with a 5.19 ERA over his last eight and 2/3 innings pitched, but he remains one of the top fantasy closers in the game nonetheless. He holds a 2.56 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, 15.9% swinging-strike rate, and a 48/8 K/BB ratio over 45 and 2/3 innings pitched on the season. Fantasy owners would be wise to continue to employ Osuna in their lineups as he remains the preferred option to close out games for the AL-leading Astros.
