3 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods was rather quiet for the first month of the season, but he changed that in Week 5 and can keep it all going in Week 6 against the New York Giants. There is an old saying that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and that was 100 percent the case in Week 5. Woods saw 14 targets against the Seattle Seahawks, which was the third-most targets he's ever seen in his career in a single game. It's unlikely that Woods is going to see 14 targets again this week, but it's clear that they want him to be a consistent part of this offense. The Giants have given up the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts. Even if Woods is unable to replicate his performance from last week, he should at least be in play as a low-end WR2 this weekend.--Gage Bridgford - RotoBaller

2 months agoHouston Texans wide receiver Robert Woods (hip) did not practice all week and is questionable to play in the Divisional Round of the postseason when the team takes on the Kansas City Chiefs on the road. While Woods still has a shot to suit up this weekend, the fact that he didn't practice at all puts the 32-year-old veteran on the wrong side of questionable. Not that fantasy managers were really considering him for their lineups anyway, but not having him would give quarterback C.J. Stroud one fewer option in the passing game as the Texans look to pull off a massive upset. Woods caught only two of four targets for 22 yards in last week's win over the Los Angeles Chargers and had a mere 20-203-0 line in 15 games during the regular season. If he's ruled out on Saturday, Xavier Hutchinson would be the WR3 for Houston behind Nico Collins and John Metchie III.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

2 months agoHouston Texans wide receiver Robert Woods (hip) picked up another DNP on Wednesday. Woods has not yet practiced this week ahead of a Divisional Round game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. The 32-year-old Woods has been an important veteran piece for the Texans this season. He caught 30 passes for 203 yards during the regular season. He also returned 15 punts for 144 yards and five kickoffs for 144 yards. He has been an all-around steady contributor both offensively and on special teams. With the Texans' wide receiver room already thin, they cannot afford to drop more players due to injury. Additionally, the Texans just released wide receiver Diontae Johnson further depleting their depth. With only one day left this week to log practice reps, Woods' status is worth monitoring by Texans fans. The Texans will need all hands on deck to beat the two-time defending champion Chiefs this weekend.--Quincy Milton III - RotoBaller

2 months agoHouston Texans wide receiver Robert Woods (hip) is back on the practice field on Wednesday after missing Tuesday's session due to a hip injury. The 32-year-old caught two of his four targets for 22 yards in last week's AFC Wild Card win over the Los Angeles Chargers and is a significant contributor after season-ending knee injuries suffered by Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell. Woods is not one of the better wideouts in the NFL anymore, but he provides veteran leadership and dependability in Houston's up-and-down offense. His return to practice suggests he's trending toward facing the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, but he does not have much fantasy football or DFS upside.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller

2 months agoAccording to Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Texans, wide receiver Robert Woods (hip) did not practice on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the 32-year-old's status throughout the week. Woods caught two of his four targets for 22 yards during their victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. However, he logged the second-most offensive snaps among Houston wide receivers, only behind Nico Collins. Over his previous four games, Woods has begun to grow into a more prominent role in this offense, as he has seen 3.8 targets per game and averaged 25.2 yards per game. If Woods were to miss Saturday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, John Metchie III would be deployed as the clear No.2 option behind Collins and carry WR3 value in DFS formats.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
