Robert Williams III Won't Return On Monday Night
23 seconds agoPortland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III (concussion) won't return to Monday's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Blazers entered Monday night without Deandre Ayton (finger) and Donovan Clingan (knee), resulting in Williams getting the start. Unfortunately, he logged only 12 minutes on the night before exiting for a concussion evaluation, although he still totaled six points, six rebounds, three blocks, and one steal. Portland will play again on Wednesday night versus Indiana, so it's possible Williams carries an injury designation heading into that one, assuming he's not ruled out by then. But if Portland is down Williams, Ayton, and Clingan, Duop Reath might get the start. Reath has played sparingly during the 2024-25 campaign. But he averaged 13.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and shot 37.4% from deep in 20 starts last season, meaning there could be a streaming opportunity on the horizon.
