Robert Williams III Rejoins Starting Five Monday
3 years agoBoston Celtics center Robert Williams III (knee) has been given the green light to both suit up and start Monday's game against the Rockets. Williams had missed the previous three contests due to left knee tendinopathy, with his return bumping Grant Williams from the starting five. Prior to getting banged up, Williams had reeled off three consecutive double-doubles and has shot a whopping 73.4 percent from the field; his 1.8 blocks per game average ties him for the seventh-highest mark in the league. Houston has been dominated by opposing big men this season, immediately vaulting Williams' value even higher in his first game back.

Robert Williams III Unavailable Versus Wizards
2 days agoPortland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III (knee) will be unavailable for Monday's contest against the Washington Wizards. Williams has been out of action since February 22nd and will miss his 13th consecutive contest due to a left knee sprain. The 27-year-old has only played in 20 games this season, and a timetable hasn't been announced when he will return. With less than a month left in the regular season, the big man could very well be shut down for the final 14 Blazers games remaining.

Robert Williams III Out Against Jazz
3 weeks agoPortland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III (knee) will not play on Monday against the Utah Jazz. He has been ruled out for a second consecutive game due to left knee soreness. With Deandre Ayton (calf) also still on the mend, Donovan Clingan and Jabari Walker will fill the minutes at the center position. The latter impressed with 20 points and 14 rebounds in Saturday's blowout win against the Charlotte Hornets. Clingan has had a couple of quiet showings but is averaging 7.6 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks in a starting role.

Robert Williams III Available On Thursday
4 weeks agoPortland Trail Blazers center Robert Williams III (knee) is active ahead of Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Williams missed the final two games before the All-Star break as he continues to manage a lingering knee issue. He's back in action on Thursday after missing seven of the last nine games. Williams is likely going to be asked to play a bigger role in the rotation going forward with Deandre Ayton (calf) being sidelined right now. Donovan Clingan should start which means Williams will get the backup minutes behind him. It probably won't be enough playing time to warrant starting Williams in most fantasy formats.
