Robert Tonyan Targeted 12 Times During Week 6 Loss
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Robert Tonyan caught 10 of his 12 targets, gaining 90 yards, during the team's 27-10 loss to the New York Jets. With Randall Cobb (ankle) being carted off the field, the 28-year-old tight end became quarterback Aaron Rodgers' safety blanket. Tonyan had not topped 37 total yards in a game up to this point, but with the Packers' receiving corps being stretched thin, he could be in for an increased target share moving forward. The Washington Commanders are up next in Week 7. While they have not allowed a ton of fantasy production to the tight end position up to this point, Tonyan involvement will be necessary for Green Bay's offense as they search for a much-needed win. Tonyan should be considered a high-end streaming option in Week 7.
