3 years agoChicago Cubs pitcher Robert Stock will be promoted from Triple-A Iowa on Wednesday to start versus the New York Mets. The Cubs rotation has been banged up with starting pitchers Trevor Williams (appendicitis) and Adbert Alzolay (blister) both on the 10-day injured list. Stock has appeared in nine games for the Iowa Cubs, but has only started two of those games and that means the Cubs could be opting for a bullpen day on Wednesday. Stock has gone 0-3 with a 4.12 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 19 2/3 innings and can be avoided in all formats for now.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
