Robert Garcia Set To Throw Bullpen On Tuesday
3 days agoAccording to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, Texas Rangers relief pitcher Robert Garcia (forearm) will throw a bullpen on Tuesday. The 28-year-old has been sidelined since the start of camp due to nerve irritation in his forearm. Fantasy managers should monitor his status on Tuesday after his bullpen in case he faces a setback. Earlier in the offseason, Garcia was traded to Texas from Washington in exchange for first baseman Nathaniel Lowe. Last summer in Washington, Garcia served as a high-leverage option out of the bullpen. He tossed 59 2/3 innings and held a 4.22 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. He tallied 75 punchouts. He also generated a stellar 2.53 xERA which suggests he should face some significant positive regression during the 2025 campaign. If healthy on Opening Day, Garcia should slot in as high-leverage option in the bullpen.
