Robert Covington Commits Five Turnovers in Win
7 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington managed to salvage his line on Tuesday, scoring 12 points on 5-for-12 shooting, including two triples against the Wizards. Covington was struggling early on but was able to get his scoring total past the 10-point threshhold late in the game. He added five rebounds, one steal, one assist and five turnovers in the win, so it definitely wasn't his best showing. Covington still isn't playing at the level we've come to expect of him, but he's doing a bit better. Owners should be patient and keep their fingers crossed the All-Star break will be the remedy he needs.

Robert Covington Remains Out For Philadelphia
12 months agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington (knee, illness) will remain unavailable on Thursday versus Miami. He hasn't seen any game action in 2024 and is set to miss a 45th consecutive contest. The veteran was supposed to return to action a couple of weeks back, but his recovery from a left knee injury appears to be taking more time than expected. In addition, Covington is also currently on the injury report with an illness. Nicolas Batum and Kenyon Martin Jr. have picked up extra work at the forward positions with Covington out. The two could get even more action on Thursday if Tobias Harris (knee) can't play.

Robert Covington Will Remain Sidelined Against Mavericks
1 year agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington (knee) hasn't played at all since the turn of the new year and that streak will continue as the team has ruled him out again for the Monday night contest against the Dallas Mavericks. He wasn't able to participate in practice either while Nick Nurse mentioned there's "not much light at the end of that tunnel," in regards to when he'll be back. There still isn't an official timetable, so only time will tell if he's able to return anytime soon or not. Marcus Morris Sr. and Kenyon Martin Jr. will continue to see minutes in the power forward spot while Covington and Nicolas Batum (hamstring) both remain out.
