Robbie Ray Shuts Down Rays on Wednesday
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks left-hander Robbie Ray posted a solid outing on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays. Ray went 5 2/3 innings, allowing no runs on four hits to go along with 11 strikeouts. The strikeouts were a season high for Ray, although he was hit with a no-decision due to lack of run support. The lefty is almost never efficient, but he posts a boatload of strikeouts and is reasonable in the run-prevention department. Ray's next start will likely come on Monday at home against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
