Robbie Grossman Homers Again Monday
4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Robbie Grossman launched his fourth homer of the season Monday in a loss to the Diamondbacks. Grossman got the A's on the board in the seventh inning with a solo shot to account for the only offense against Arizona starter Zac Gallen. Grossman has been tearing the cover off the ball lately with eight extra-base hits in his last nine games. He's sporting a strong 89 MPH average exit velocity through 44 batted balls and is in the top-fifth percentile in baseball with a .420 xwOBA. His .300 average is good, it's nothing compared to his .455 on-base percentage thanks to a 13:12 walk to strikeout ratio. Grossman should be owned in 12-team leagues and larger.
