1 year agoThe road course tracks have been a struggle for Aric Almirola and the No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing team this season and it doesn't look like that's going to change this weekend at Watkins Glen. Thus far in 2023, Almirola has posted finishes of 30th-, 28th-, 18th-, and 39th-place on this track type, with those results coming at COTA, Sonoma, Chicago Street Course, and Indy Road Course (respectively). This weekend at Watkins Glen, Almirola was just 32nd-fastest in practice and he wound up qualifying in 27th-place for Sunday's Go Bowling at The Glen. With how this team is running on road courses as of late, a top-20 finish on Sunday would be a very positive race for this No. 10 team.--Jordan McAbee
