3 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers rookie starting pitcher River Ryan left the game Saturday night in the fifth inning with an apparent injury against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Manager Dave Roberts and the team trainer came out to the mound after Ryan threw a wide slider and appeared to be in discomfort. Ryan was immediately removed from the game but left under his power. It is hoped that details will become available after the game. Ryan is 1-0 with a 133 ERA, a 1.18 WHIP, and 22 strikeouts in 16 innings for the Dodgers this season.--Mike Carter - RotoBaller
