River Ryan Earns No-Decision In Debut
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect River Ryan lived up to expectations when he made his big-league debut versus the division rival San Francisco Giants on Monday evening. Ryan tossed 5 1/3 innings and allowed four hits, one run (zero earned), three walks and recorded two strikeouts in a no-decision. The Dodgers top pitching prospect held his own in the contest and it will be interesting to see what the club does moving forward with Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) set to return Thursday and the trade deadline approaching. Ryan would seem to have earned another start and if the comes, it would be come on Saturday against the Astros in Houston. With a good debut, Ryan is worth scooping up and holding in redraft leagues.
