Ricky Stenhouse Jr Will Start Career-Best 9th in Brickyard 400
4 months agoRicky Stenhouse Jr was one of the surprises during qualifying at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon, as the JTG Daugherty driver made it to the final round and will roll off the starting grid from ninth in Sunday's Brickyard 400. Will that translate into a good finish, though? Stenhouse's track record at Indianapolis leaves a lot to be desired. In seven of his eight career starts at The Brickyard, Stenhouse has finished entirely outside of the top 20, and in five of the last six he has ended up 31st or worse. The No. 47 Chevrolet was decent in practice this weekend, though, ranking 17th-fastest on the speed chart. If Stenhouse can stay out of trouble on Sunday, he could contend for a mid-teens finish, but will likely slide back from his top-10 starting position, so it's hard to recommend him in DFS.
