Ricky Rubio Leads Team With 26 Points Versus Warriors
4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio had one of his better games of the season in Thursday's matchup against the Warriors, finishing a 126-114 win with a team-high 26 points on 7-for-13 shooting. The Spanish veteran was 5-for-8 with the three-ball in his best scoring effort of the season, adding seven points from the foul line with perfect shooting, while collecting six rebounds, six assists and two steals with zero turnovers in 31 minutes. Rubio is the starting point guard for Minnesota, but he's been forced to split time with D'Angelo Russell and it hasn't really suited him. However, Russell was kept quiet on Thursday and played for just 24 minutes, which gave Rubio an opportunity to enjoy a good evening. On paper, the Timberwolves point guards get another good matchup against New Orleans on Saturday.
