Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is likely to be released by Friday, barring something unexpected. Seattle has explored trade options for Sherman, but nothing has materialized. He's due an $11 million salary in 2018 and is coming off two Achilles surgeries. The Seahawks are open to re-signing him at a lesser cost, but it's believed that he isn't very interested in returning. Releasing him will save the team $11 million in salary cap space. Health is now a concern for the soon-to-be 30-year-old, but when healthy, Sherman can still be one of the more effective cover corners in the NFL. Losing him will be a big hit to Seattle's secondary in 2018.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
