Rich Hill Throwing At Full Speed, Will Likely Return Once Eligible
7 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starter Rich Hill (finger) won't be starting on Monday, prospect Wallker Buehler will. But if his bullpen session was any indication, Hill's ready to go. The 38-year-old veteran is recovering from a split fingernail and is on the 10-day DL. But he's declared himself ready to go and the bullpen backs him up. He's in the twilight of his back-from-the-dead career, so he's a bit of a hot potato. Finger issues, particularly blisters, are always going to be a problem with someone who throws this many hard curveballs. Take what you can get for him or milk his final strikeouts for all they're worth.
