Rich Hill Out At Least Four Weeks With Blister
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starter Rich Hill (hand) will miss at least four weeks due to his latest blister, according to Dave Roberts. Hill left the second game of the team's doubleheader against the Nationals on Saturday after only two pitches. Closeups of his left hand revealed a flap of skin dangling from it. He later said the blister is as bad as the one two seasons ago that kept him out of action for a couple of months. Hill is susceptible to blisters because of the hard spin that he puts on his signature pitch, the curveball. It's hard to know what to do with Hill at this point. On one hand he's among the league's best at getting strikeouts and plays with a team that won't likely be this bad all year. On the other more blistered hand, he's 38 and can't seem to stay healthy. It's hard to recommend stashing him in leagues larger than 12 teams with DL spots being so valuable this year.
